Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle
Launched from ISRO’s Satish Dhawan, Sriharikota – India on 20 April 2009, RISAT-2 (Radar Imaging Satellite) which weight 300 kg and Micro Satellite ANUSAT (40 kg) was entering orbit 550 km far from Earth. Both were carried by 230 tons PSLV-C12 (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle).
RISAT-2 can take pictures of Earth in all weather so that it can help India to monitor the terrorist hiding. While the experimental satellite is ANUSAT made Indian University.
